We can typically close the sale of the home through a secure and government regulated title company or real estate attorney within just 10 days of you contacting us. High Point is a region that traces its history to the mid 19th century when the first European immigrants arrived here and displaced the Native American tribe of Sioux who lived here at the time. The German immigrants were the first Europeans to come to this area followed by the Quakers who later established Friends Church in this region. The early settlers of this area practiced agriculture and traded with their neighbors. This area derives its name from the fact that it was located on the highest point of the North Carolina Railroad between Goldsboro and Charlotte. This region was centrally located between major towns and this allowed transportation of raw cotton, lumber and processed goods, which in turn enhanced its early growth and development. Before becoming a major manufacturing center, the first industries were agrarian based, and they included textiles, woodworking, and tobacco.

Today, High Point has grown from a village area to modern city located in eastern part of North Carolina in Piedmont Triad region. This is the only city in North Carolina that exists within four counties, which are Randolph, Davidson, Guilford, and Forsyth. This area also stands within two main watersheds, the Cape of Fear and Yadkin-Pee Dee and covers a total size of approximately 55.4 square miles. This area has a population of around 110,000 people, which ranks it the 9th largest municipality in the state. This region is known for its textiles, bus manufacturing, and furniture industries. The area here has been nicknamed the “The Furniture Capital of The World” due to the several furniture industries located in this city. It also hosts the biannual High Point Furniture Market that attracts hundreds of thousands of buyers and exhibitors from around the world.

The major employers here include Bank of America, Guilford County Schools, Thomas Build Buses, TE Connectivity, and Ralph Lauren.

This area has a well-established road network with Interstate highways such as I-40, I-74, and I-85 crossing its landscape.

Climate wise; this region enjoys the humid continental climate of four distinct seasons with cold, snowy winters, and hot, humid summers. The hottest month is July with an average high of 84 degrees Fahrenheit while January is the coldest month with an average low of 19 degrees Fahrenheit. The average precipitation is approximately 42 inches per year, and the area here receives even rainfall nearly in all months of the year. The wettest month is July with about 5 inches of rain while the driest month is January with about 3 inches of rainfall because most of the precipitation falls in the winter as snow.

For recreational activities, the notable sites here include Bernice Bienenstock Furniture Library, High Point City Lake Park, Community Theatre, High Point Museum and Historical Park, Castle McCulloch Gold Mill, Museum of Old Domestic Life, and North Carolina Shakespeare Festival. This area also hosts the World Largest Chest Drawers an iconic symbol in the city. Some of the National Historic listed sites that you can visit with your friends and family here include John H. Adams House, Deep River Friends Meeting House and Cemetery, Uptown Suburbs Historic District, Mills Village Historic District and Oakwood Historic District among others.
